National Bank Limited introduced EMV NFC Based Chip Visa/MasterCard Debit Card to provide 24/7 Banking services to its nationwide large customer base provided by ATM / POS / E-Comm facilities for emphasizing customers’ demand and business importance.

Apply Process for a NBL Multi Currency Debit Card

1. The Applicant must have an account in any NBL Branches
2. The concerned Branch will send a request to issue a Multi Currency Debit Card after obtaining written consent from the applicant
3. The applicant will also provide a signed travel quota declaration form and his/her passport must be endorsed against yearly allotted travel quota limit.
4. Card will be activated by Card Operations team upon receipt of card acknowledgement duly signed by cardholder and verified by the respective branch officials with their signature and branch seal.

Required Documents for Multicurrency Debit Card:

1. One copy of photograph
2. Copy of TIN certificate
3. Copy of valid Passport with endorsement against yearly Travel quota as per Bangladesh Bank’s guideline.
4. National ID copy

General Features of Multicurrency Debit Card:

• EMV compliant chip based card, the transactions of this card are more secured which protects cardholders by preventing copying of card data and ensures a liability shift benefit which protects cardholders in non-EMV terminals.
• It also supported by NFC transaction with the transaction limit as per Bangladesh Bank’s guideline
• Enable for most secured Two Factor Authentication (2FA) on e-commerce transactions through One-Time-Password.
• Multi-Currency Debit Card can be used both locally and internationally. The customer will be using their own account balance when spending via the Multi-Currency Debit Card.
• The debit cardholder can use the card to make both local and international POS, E-commerce and ATM cash withdrawal transactions.
• International transactions will be allowed after provide the valid passport copy alongwith the endorsement against his/her passport as per Bangladesh bank's Travel Quota regulations. As per current guideline, a cardholder can spend a maximum of $12,000 in a year against their annual travel quota entitlements.
• This card will support multi currency transactions and that will be converted to real time US Dollar in system as per Bank rate. Customer’s account will be debited instantly in equivalent Taka.
